OUR STORY

Lucky Bounce! didn’t begin as a business plan. It began more than 35 years ago with a simple truth:
golf brings people together — and when you add excitement, everyone wins.

We were both retired, bored, and looking for a side-hustle.

This is about two friends, a passion for golf, a unique idea, and what happens when you “bring it to the table.” Initially, this was just to get out of the house and stay busy, and maybe to make a few friends and play golf. What we created, instead,
on this journey…thankfully, was anything but a side-hustle. As my friend likes to say…”Grip It and Rip It!”

Where It All Started

Back in the late 1980s, my colleague worked for Jaguar Motor Cars in Ft. Lauderdale, FLORIDA. Out
of nowhere — and to this day he still laughs about it — he was promoted to Marketing for Golf
Events.
It made perfect sense:

My friend was a low handicapped golfer.
Golfers tend to be highnetworth individuals.
Jaguar wanted to be in front of that audience…to sell cars!

One marketing channel Jaguar chose was Charities. They would Co-Sponsor the tournaments at local golf courses, These events routinely added 100–200 extra Rounds Played in a single
weekend, hence the Charity earning a tidy sum, and the Golf Course was happy, too!

While the golfers played for Charity, they also played for Prizes. Maybe a free dinner, or tickets to the movies, but the REAL EXCITEMENT was the GRAND PRIZE to Win $10,000 for making a Hole-In-One. That was the main “Driver.” No pun intended for the golfer, or Jaguar owner.

And here is the point of “Our Story.”
Since Jaguar helped sponsor these events, they received the list of tournament players — names, phone numbers, and emails. Well, needless to say, Jaguar would call and invite the golfers to the
showroom the following week for: Test drives. Free checkups. Oil changes.

And yes — they sold cars. Lots of them!
The formula was simple:
More Awareness → More Conversations → More Sales…to the local businesses!

We at Lucky Bounce! decided to take a page out of this successful, time-proven, Old Playbook and
add a NEW TWIST, and thus Lucky Bounce! was born.

We asked ourselves a simple question:
Why should a Golfer only get this excitement once or twice a year?

Why not create a reason for Golfers to come back and play every single day?

This idea became Lucky Bounce!
A Daily…$10,000 HOLE-IN-ONE CONTEST!
Not once or twice a year.
